Valio's production plants all hold the ISO 9001 Certificate and the ISO 14001 Environmental Certificate thus ensuring full compliance with international standards and demonstrating commitment to the continuous improvement of environmental performance and sustainable development.
In the key area of waste management, Valio is committed to recycling. Today, 82 per cent of all Valio's consumer packs in Finland reach retail outlets on different pallets or in boxes which are recyclable. Valio consumer packaging is 80 per cent paperboard which ensures a fast and effective route for recycling and minimal impact on the environment.
