How Valio's name and logo have changed and developed over time

Valio, the name and logo
The Valio name and logo have flourished down the years as the company's operations have been transfigured. Valio has moved over time from using the milk separator lid symbol better suited to a production-oriented company, to the three-colour logo of an increasingly international organisation, and in the 2000s adopted the Valio brand mark representing a seal of quality.
As of the beginning of 2003, Valio switched gradually to employing a uniform logo in all its commercial and corporate communications, the blue seal being used both as the logo and brand mark.

Valio was initially a butter export business that grew first into a central dairy co-operative and subsequently into a limited liability company.

Valio's new logo will be introduced gradually from 2009-2011.
