Certified operations
Valio has 15 production plants in Finland, all of which follow the same stringent quality control regulations in producing the company's milk, cheeses, yoghurts, butters, milk powders and demineralised whey powders.

In addition, Valio manufactures milk, yoghurts and other products for the Baltic markets at its Laeva dairy in Estonia and cheeses in its Estonian subsidiary Võru Juust. Valio also owns a cheese packing plant in Belgium through its Valio-Vache Bleue subsidiary.
Valio product safety principles
•We undertake to comply with good production practices and continuously develop our operations in accordance with them.
•We use high-quality milk from healthy cows, together with other high-quality ingredients.
•We make safe products for consumers, cleanly and faultlessly in a hygienic production environment.
•We take pre-emptive action against hygiene risks and secure the uninterrupted operation of the production plants.

Quality Management System
Valio Ltd has 15 production plants in Finland, including the subsidiary Nordic Jam in Suonenjoki. Fresh products (milks, fermented milks, creams, yoghurts, sour cream, and quark) are processed and packed in Riihimäki, Tampere, Jyväskylä, Seinäjoki and Oulu. There are also distribution terminals operating in connection with these dairies.

Valio makes cheese in Lapinlahti, Joensuu, Haapavesi, Kaitsor, Toholampi, Äänekoski and Vantaa. Valio Group's production of butter and spreads is centralised in Seinäjoki.

Valio makes milk and whey powders in Lapinlahti, Haapavesi and Seinäjoki.

UHT products are made in Turenki.
