Valio Group controls the Valio product quality chain from farm to shop and so secures product safety and traceability.
The raw milk used in Valio products can be traced back to a single collection lorry route, or to as few as five farms. The composition and origin of auxiliary ingredients and additives used in the products are carefully examined.
Quality controlled at every stage of production
Our farms have the Valio Milk Quality Manual at their disposal and the dairy co-operatives have their own quality management system. Valio production is steered by an ISO 9001 certified quality system and complies with the in-house control system approved by the authorities.
The food safety system is developed and maintained in accordance with the ISO 22000 standard.
The key laboratory procedures are ISO 17025 accredited.
