Valio is number two in Estonia and challenging in Sweden

Valio Baltics has its own production facilities for fresh dairy products (Laeva dairy) and cheese (Võru Juust), and the Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian subsidiaries' production, marketing and sales operations work in harmony to sell locally.
In Estonia, Valio Eesti's Alma brand holds around a 30% share of the fresh dairy products market and is a clear number two in the Estonian dairy products market. Valio Alma products are made exclusively at Valio's Laeva dairy in Estonia. Valio's Võru Juust cheese plant in Estonia produces Atleet cheese which has a strong market position in both Estonia and Russia.
Valio Sverige AB is particularly strong in value added products in the lactose free and low lactose segments where Valio is the national market leader, with around a 50% market share in the lactose-free range alone. Sweden sells products made in Finland and co-operates with local players seeking larger scale access to fresh dairy product markets.
