Finlandia Cheese division imports and markets Valio cheese in the United States. Valio has been selling cheese in the US since 1958 and Finlandia Swiss is currently the leading imported Swiss cheese in the market.
Finlandia cheese is available across the US in most supermarkets. Clients include supermarkets, wholesalers, food distributors, cash-and-carry outlets and many food service customers.
At present, Finlandia is the market leader in imported Swiss cheese in the U.S. with a share of 34%, which translates to annual sales of about 20 million lb. It is also the # 1 imported cheese brand in the US. The Finlandia brand also serves as an umbrella under which Finlandia Cheese markets its other cheeses.
Most recent product launches include a line of premium aged cheeses from Europe (Black label) and an Imported Double Gloucester cheese to the Deli Slices line.

Healthy Dairy Division was formed within Valio USA in 2009 with the launch of Valio® Real Goodness™ lactose free milk.
Valio lactose free milk, produced with a proprietary ultra filtration method to maintain the milk's great taste, is enjoyed by millions of lactose intolerant consumer in 11 countries, and now is available in the US. Valio® Real Goodness™ is the only lactose free milk brand that tastes exactly like regular milk - it's not watered-down or too sweet like other competitive lactose free brands.
Valio® Real Goodness™ is currently available approximately 3,200 stores in the northeastern region of the United States in cities such as New York, Boston and Philadelphia. The product family consists of four items: fat free and 2% milk fat varieties in quart (0,945 L) and half gallon (1,89 L) sizes.
